Motorcycle market in Indonesia is the largest in the world, after China and India. Because of that, motorcycle producers around the world consider Indonesian market as an important market. In couple of years, we witnessed a very tight and interesting fight between Yamaha and Honda. After so many years ruled the market, glory of Honda seems to be taken and get ready for surrender, invaded by Yamaha products.

Phenomenon of Yamaha shifting Honda is an incident which is very interesting from the perspective of marketing strategy. No doubt that Yamaha’s marketing strategy to beat Honda was started since they successfully introduced an automatic motorcycle called Mio.
