Quality as A Production Control
At least there are three basic things that really affect the level of success of a product or service on the market, that are price, availability, and quality. Consumers really need the product or service with high quality and available at the time they required at affordable price and suitable with the benefits that will be gained. Organization or company can be successful and competitive in the market if the level of customer satisfaction against the use of products and services is high.
The factor of prices and availability are only transient features, which means its influence did not last long after the transaction. But for the quality, which has longer effects and implications, because the quality of a product or service is determined by the level of usability success of the product or service during its use (not determine by the point of sales only).
The meaning of quality of a product or service itself is closely related to the level of perfection, conformity with the needs, free from defects, imperfections, or contamination, and the ability to satisfy the consumers. Consumers are the most appropriate and fair sides for assessing the quality of the products or services that we provide.
A product or service that has features or benefits that can satisfy the consumer needs can be referred to as quality product or service, on the contrary, products or services that have features or benefits that can’t satisfy the consumer needs can be referred to as unqualified products or services.
